1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Cluevo (the "Service" — the mobile app, the admin console, and the marketing website at cluevo.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users: players, adventure authors, and organisers.
2. Description of service
Cluevo is an interactive adventure platform for city games, resort trails, corporate offsites, onboarding, and client events. Players play checkpoint-based adventures on their phones; authors design and publish adventures through an admin console. Access to the player app is free at launch; paid plans for authors may be introduced.
3. Account registration
You must be 16 or older, or have a guardian's consent, to create a Cluevo account. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at hello@cluevo.app.
4. Content you upload
You keep ownership of anything you upload to Cluevo — photos taken for photo checkpoints, adventure content you author, text you submit. You grant Cluevo a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and process that content strictly to operate the Service. We may remove content that is illegal or breaks these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable law or regulation; submit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or infringing; spoof GPS or impersonate other players; scrape secrets, submissions, or other players' data; reverse-engineer the platform; overload our infrastructure; or attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Service. Repeated abuse ends your account without refund.
6. Adventures you run
If you author or organise an adventure — including selecting checkpoint locations that send players into the physical world — you are responsible for the safety, legality, and accessibility of those locations and the accuracy of the instructions. Cluevo does not inspect or approve real-world routes. You must not send players onto private property, dangerous ground, or into any situation likely to cause harm.
7. Data ownership
You retain ownership of your account data and any adventure content you author. Cluevo does not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. We process your data only as described in our Privacy Policy and, for paying authors, any applicable Data Processing Agreement.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of continuous availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cluevo's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or, if you paid nothing, €50. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, nor for injury, loss, or damage arising from a player's real-world actions during an adventure.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account in Settings in the mobile app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. On termination, your data is retained per our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce material changes on this page and — for registered users — in the mobile app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
